About
Please help us to raise vital funds for the Community Fund for Elmbridge by sponsoring our 6-strong cutter crew plus cox in their quest to retain the Riparian Challenge trophy in the Great River Race, an epic rowing race of 21.5 miles through central London, on Saturday 20 September 2025.
Dittons Skiff & Punting Club is pleased to support the Mayor of Elmbridge, Councillor Steve Bax, in raising funds towards the target of £150,000 for the Community Fund for Elmbridge which provides financial support to charities, community groups, and local projects across Esher and the wider Elmbridge borough.
We are proud to be carrying the Mayoress, Kim Bax, aboard the cutter as official passenger representing the Mayor of Elmbridge. The cutter itself is provided by the Worshipful Company of Scientific Instrument Makers.
The Mayor launched the Community Fund for Elmbridge jointly in May 2025 with Sandown Park Racecourse which is celebrating 150 years since it was founded in Esher in 1875.
Elmbridge has been a major supporter of Dittons Skiff and Punting Club for over sixty years, especially in the building of the 'new' clubhouse which was opened thirty years ago by the then Mayor of Elmbridge.
