  • About

The Surrey Supported Employment Fund supports people with disabilities (physical, sensory, cognitive, mental health and learning disability) to overcome barriers to work and access employment. Grants are awarded from Surrey Supported Employment to trusted, local non-profit organisations (including charities, voluntary groups and social enterprises) who are best positioned to distribute funds to individuals they are working with. The fund typically prioritises:

  • Training specifically related to individual work goals;
  • Enabling people to access and undertake voluntary work or to work a small number of hours per week that builds confidence and skills that will help them into employment;
  • Practical support such as initial travel costs, clothes, equipment and interview expenses; and
  • Accreditation and membership fees.
