- About
Launched in early 2025, the Sanctuary Seekers Fund was created to support organisations working with refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants who are experiencing hardship, isolation, or discrimination. With growing need in our communities, the fund helps deliver practical support, wellbeing services, education, and opportunities for belonging.
Due to its proximity to points of arrival, Surrey receives high numbers of Sanctuary Seekers; it is also the third largest receiver of Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children in the UK. In February 2025 there were 13,000 sanctuary seekers in Surrey, including around 1,000 asylum seekers.
By donating to the Surrey Sanctuary Seekers Fund you will be enabling organisations to change lives. This fund
will enable vulnerable people in Surrey to get advice and support when they need it most. This fund will help improve access to justice for those currently in need – but will also put inplace sustainable solutions that will continue to help people in the future.
